NHL: Chicago 7, St. Louis 5

CHICAGO, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews each tallied a pair of goals Tuesday and the Chicago Blackhawks outlasted St. Louis 7-5.

Tomas Kopecky added a goal and three assists for the Blackhawks, who held a 5-1 lead midway through the second period but then had to hang on for their sixth win in eight games.

Patrick Sharp and Troy Brouwer also lit the lamp and Corey Crawford ended with 21 saves to earn the shaky victory.

Erik Brewer, Alex Pietrangelo and Brad Boyes scored three straight goals for St. Louis to cut its deficit to one goal 6 minutes into the third period. But Kane's second goal of the game, off a rebound of a Viktor Stalberg shot, blunted the Blues' rally with less than 7 minutes remaining.

David Backes notched a goal and three assists and Patrik Berglund scored for St. Louis, which lost its third straight game.

Blues goalie Ty Conklin was torched for seven goals on 24 shots.
