Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
NEW YORK, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- NFL executives, looking ahead to games being canceled next year if a new agreement can't be worked out with players, announced a ticket refund policy Tuesday.
The league said the refund policy for any pre-season or regular-season games wiped out by a work stoppage will only apply to general admission tickets. Individual teams will determine their own policies for club seats, suites and personal seat licenses, the league said.
Fans will offered full refunds all canceled pre-season and regular-season home games. Season and partial season ticket holders will have the option to receive cash refunds or credits toward future games.
Those who bought individual game tickets will be offered refunds or the right to exchange their tickets to a canceled game for a ticket to a future game as selected by the club and subject to availability.
Refunds will be paid no later than 30 days after final determination of how many games will be played during the 2011 NFL season.
