NEW YORK, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Maxime Talbot, Kris Letang and Chris Conner scored Monday, handing the Pittsburgh Penguins their seventh straight win, 3-1 over the New York Rangers.
The Pens' first goal came 5 minutes into the game when the Rangers' Ruslan Fedotenko stopped the puck with his hand and tried to drop it onto his stick. Talbot swooped in, stole the puck and shot it into the net.
Letang made it 2-0 with 8 minutes left in the second period when he moved down from the left point, took a pass from Sidney Crosby and blasted a one-timer past New York goalie Henrik Lundqvist.
Conner added a third-period score and Pascal Dupuis chipped in with a pair of assists for Pittsburgh, which last lost Nov. 15 to the Rangers.
Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 25-of-26 shots for the victors.
Marian Gaborik got the Rangers' only tally and Lundqvist turned aside 24 shots for the Rangers.
