Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

ATLANTA, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Dustin Byfuglien tallied four points -- a goal and three assists -- for the Atlanta Thrashers, who notched their fifth straight win Sunday, 4-1 over Boston.
The Thrashers also got goals from Jim Slater, Niclas Bergfors and Evander Kane, helping them break a 10-game losing streak to the Bruins.
Ondrej Pavelec turned aside 40 shots for the victory. He made Atlanta's three-goal margin hold up despite being peppered with 14 shots in the third period.
Blake Wheeler scored in the second period to provide the only offense for Boston, losers of four of five.
Tuukka Rask was victimized for all four Atlanta goals on 26 shots.
