Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Danilo Gallinari connected on a pair of 3-pointers in the second overtime Sunday and the New York Knicks outlasted Detroit 125-116.
Gallinari finished with 20 points and nine rebounds and Amare Stoudemire contributed 37 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists for New York, which won a fifth straight road game for the first time since the 2000-2001 season.
Raymond Felton contributed 23 points and Wilson Chandler chipped in with 20 for the victors.
Richard Hamilton put in 17 points, reaching 11,000 for his career; Tayshaun Prince added 31 and Rodney Stuckey chipped in with 29 points in the Pistons' loss.
