DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Ian Poulter shot a 3-under-par 69 Saturday for a 2-stroke lead after three rounds of the European Tour's Dubai World Championship.

Poulter had five birdies and two bogeys at the Jumeirah Golf Estates course in posting a 54-hole total of 12-under 204 taking the lead over Ross Fisher, who was tied with Poulter for first after the second round. Thongchai Jaidee and Francesco Molinari share second place at 10-under.

Robert Karlsson shot 5-under 67 Saturday and is tied with Lee Westwood, who had a 71 in his third round, for fifth at 9-under.

Poulter had birdies at Nos. 2 and 3 in moving into the lead all alone but had his first bogey of the week at the fifth hole. He had a birdie at No. 8 only to give that stroke back at the 10th hole. Birdies at 14 and 15 put him at 3-under for the day.

Fisher bogeyed the par-5 second hole and, after a birdie at the fifth hole, had another bogey at No. 6. He added birdies at 7, 9 and 16 but stumbled with a bogey at another par 5 -- No. 18 -- for a 1-under 71.

Jaidee's third round 69 included four birdies and a bogey while Molinari was 1-under before posting consecutive birdies at Nos. 15-17 for a 4-under 68.
