Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

GLENDALE, Ariz., Nov. 24 (UPI) -- The Phoenix Coyotes had two goals apiece from Martin Hanzal and Lee Stempniak Tuesday in their 5-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers.
Ilya Bryzgalov stopped all 23 shots he faced en route to the shutout, his first of the season.
Wojtek Wolski accounted for the other Phoenix goal and added an assist.
Edmonton's Devan Dubnyk allowed all five goals on 34 shots. The Oilers have lost seven of their last eight games.
The Coyotes got off to a fast start. Hanzal knocked in a pass from Ray Whitney just 48 seconds into the game. Phoenix then scored two goals in both the second and third periods.
Phoenix outshot Edmonton 34-23 and each team was penalized twice.
