Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Two free throws by Danilo Gallinari finally halted a Charlotte comeback Wednesday and clinched New York's 99-95 win over the Bobcats.
New York led by 11 early in the fourth period, but had to sweat out what was its fifth consecutive victory.
Raymond Felton led the Knicks with 23 points and 13 assists. It marked his first game in Charlotte since leaving the Bobcats as a free agent this summer. Wilson Chandler contributed 21 points for New York and Amare Stoudemire had 20.
Charlotte was paced by Tyrus Thomas with 26 and Stephen Jackson with 18. The Knicks swept a home-and-home series with the Bobcats.
