SAN DIEGO, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Philip Rivers connected for four touchdown passes Monday and the San Diego Chargers moved back to .500 with a 35-14 victory over Denver.

Rivers completed 15-for-24 with 233 yards, tossing one interception, and Mike Tolbert keyed San Diego's ground game, carrying the ball 25 times for 111 yards and a score.

The Chargers (5-5) won their third straight and gained a tie for second place in the AFC West with Oakland. Both are one game behind first-place Kansas City.

Helping in the victory were Patrick Crayton with three catches for 105 yards and a score and Darren Sproles, who grabbed five passes for 60 yards and a touchdown.

The Broncos (3-7), meanwhile, dropped their fifth game in six contests.

Kyle Orton passed for 217 yards, one touchdown and one interception and Knowshon Moreno gained 58 yards on 13 carries in Denver's defeat.
