LAHAINA, Hawaii, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Kalin Lucas poured in 28 points Monday to help No. 2 Michigan State hold off upset-minded Chaminade 82-74 at the Maui, Hawaii, Invitational.

Korie Lucious came off the bench to contribute 13 points and Draymond Green chipped in with 10 points and nine rebounds for the Spartans (3-0).

With the hard-fought win, Michigan State advances to play Connecticut in Tuesday's semifinals.

Chaminade (3-1) played well, but not well enough to overcome the nation's second-ranked team.
