COL BKB: Connecticut 70, Michigan St. 67

LAHAINA, Hawaii, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Kemba Walker struck for 30 points Tuesday, pacing Connecticut to a 70-67 upset of No. 2 Michigan State in the semifinals at the 2010 Maui Invitational.

Alex Oriakhi popped in 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for the Huskies (4-0), who moved on to Wednesday's championship game in a surprise result.

Roscoe Smith chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds for UConn, which earned some payback for a loss to Michigan State in the semifinals of the 2009 NCAA Tournament.

The Spartans (3-1) got 22 points and 12 rebounds from Draymond Green and Durrell Summers contributed 13 points in the setback.

Michigan State's record in Maui Invitational semifinal games fell to 1-2 with the loss.
