Sidney Crosby got a goal and an assist and Kris Letang added a marker in the Penguins' win.
Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside 27 shots as Pittsburgh took its third straight victory and fifth in six games.
The Panthers got tallies from Cory Stillman and Bryan McCabe, and Tomas Vokoun stopped 23 shots in the setback.
