Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

ATLANTA, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Dustin Byfuglien's overtime goal 90 seconds into the extra frame Sunday provided the difference in Atlanta's 2-1 victory over the New York Islanders.
The winning play was set up when Tobias Enstrom sent Byfuglien a pass in the high slot. The big winger glided toward the net and unleashed a wrist shot past Islanders goalie Rick DiPietro.
Nik Antropov got Atlanta's other goal.
Ondrej Pavelec turned aside 28 shots for the victors.
The Islanders, meanwhile, set a franchise record with their 13th straight loss. The team hasn't won since a 3-2 overtime decision over Tampa Bay Oct. 21.
DiPietro made 33 saves for the Islanders and Michael Grabner got their only goal.
