Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
GREENSBORO, N.C., Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Malcolm Delaney and Jeff Allen combined for 43 points Sunday and No 24 Virginia Tech pounced on UNC-Greensboro 92-70.
Trailing 12-5 early in the first half, Delaney scored five straight points with a trey and 2-pointer, sparking a 15-2 run for the Hokies (2-1), who never looked back after that point.
Delaney ended with 23 points and Allen added 20 more and seven rebounds while Dorenzo Hudson chipped in with 17 points for the victors.
The Spartans (0-3) got 15 points from Kyle Randall and 14 from Aloysius Henry in the loss.
