Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

BOSTON, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Michal Handzus found in the net in the sixth round of a shootout Saturday, allowing the Los Angeles Kings to post a 4-3 decision over Boston.
Handzus broke a scoreless streak of 11 straight shooters, placing a wrist shot past Bruins goalie Tim Thomas to end the contest and allow the Kings to break a three-game losing streak.
Handzus also tallied in regulation time, joining Jarret Stoll and Brad Richardson in the scoring column as Los Angeles beat the Bruins for a fourth straight time -- three of which have gone to shootouts.
Jonathan Quick turned aside 38 shots through 60 regulation minutes and the 5-minute overtime.
The Bruins got goals from Blake Wheeler, Gregory Campbell and Patrice Bergeron.
