Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

UNIONDALE, N.Y., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Mike Santorelli scored twice during a four-goal, second-period Florida onslaught Saturday, helping the Panthers to a 4-1 win over the New York Islanders.
Santorelli notched his fifth and sixth goals of the season and Stephen Weiss added a goal and an assist for Florida, which won for the fourth time in six games.
Tomas Vokoun turned aside 39 shots for the victors, who also got a second-period tally from Marty Reasoner.
The Islanders, meanwhile, lost their 12th straight game, tying a dubious club record set in 1972-73 and in 1988.
Dwayne Roloson stopped 27 shots in the Islanders latest setback.
