Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

ATLANTA, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- A balanced Dallas offense Saturday, led by Dirk Nowitzki's 21 points, carried the Mavericks to a 98-93 decision over Atlanta.
Also hitting double figures for Dallas were Jason Terry with 15 points, DeShawn Stevenson and Caron Butler with 13 apiece, and Shawn Marion with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The victory snuffed the Mavs' two-game losing streak.
Atlanta, which lost for the fifth time in its last seven games, was led by Al Horford, who posted his second career 20-20 game with 20 points and 20 rebounds. Josh Smith added 21 for the Hawks, while Joe Johnson, who missed a score-tying 3-pointer in the final seconds, ended with 11 points.
