
MIAMI, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Ryan Williams and Tyrod Taylor both scored late in the game Saturday, propelling No. 15 Virginia Tech to a 31-17 victory over No. 24 Miami-Florida.
Virginia Tech (9-2, 7-0 ACC) clinched a spot in the ACC title game with the win, taking the Coastal Division for the ninth straight time. The Hokies will play the winner of the Atlantic Division Dec. 4 in Charlotte, N.C.
Taylor passed for 94 yards passing and a touchdown, Williams rushed for 142 yards and a pair of scores, and Danny Coale made four catches for 83 yards and a touchdown in the win.
Stephen Morris was intercepted three times late in the game for the Hurricanes (7-4, 5-3), who saw their two-game winning streak snapped.
Lamar Miller rushed for 163 yards and a score on 15 carries for Miami.
