Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

RENO, Nev., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Colin Kaepernick tossed for a pair of touchdowns and ran in another Saturday in No. 18 Nevada's 52-6 dismantling of New Mexico State.
Kaepernick threw for 251 yards and Vai Taua racked up 111 yards rushing with two touchdowns and also scored on a 79-yard reception for the Wolf Pack (10-1, 5-1 WAC).
The one-sided victory was the 500th win in the history of the Nevada football program and sets up a crucial conference showdown next week with third-ranked Boise State.
The Aggies (2-9, 1-6) were led by Andrew Manley, who went 19-of-39 passing for 220 yards and two interceptions.
Taveon Rogers contributed 94 yards on four catches for New Mexico State.
