COL BKB: Kentucky 79, Portland 48

PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Brandon Knight paced Kentucky to an outstanding shooting effort Friday and the 13th-ranked Wildcats coasted to a 79-48 victory over Portland.

Knight scored 19 points and Darius Miller missed only once in seven field goal attempts while scoring 15. Kentucky shot 57 percent from the floor and held the Pilots to 31 percent.

After taking a 14-point halftime lead, the Wildcats (2-0) limited Portland to two points over the first 5 minutes of the second period.

Eric Waterford scored 10 points for Portland, which was unbeaten in three games coming into its meeting with Kentucky.
