COL BKB: Georgetown 74, Wofford 59

CHARLESTON, S.C., Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Jason Clark scored the first five points of the game, sending No. 21 Georgetown off to a 74-59 victory Friday over Wofford at the Charleston (S.C.) Classic.

Clark made a 3-pointer and a layup before the Hoyas' Austin Freeman and Hollis Thompson added baskets to give Georgetown (4-0) an early 9-0 lead. Wofford (1-4) didn't manage a point until Brad Loesing's 3-point shot 4:02 into the game.

Georgetown pulled out to a 37-24 lead by halftime but the Terriers crept back to within 5 points when Jamar Diggs connected from 3-point range to make the score 50-45 with 9:48 to go.

Henry Sims quickly answered for the Hoyas, who posted another 9-0 run, with three Chris Wright free throws making the score 59-45 with 7:31 left.

Wright finished with 18 points for Georgetown, which also got 14 points from Freeman and 12 points and 13 rebounds from Julian Vaughn. Clark finished with eight points.

Wofford's Noah Dahlman took game-scoring honors with 19 points. Loesing added 14 points and Diggs 10 for the Terriers.
