DENVER, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony scored 26 points, including seven on free throws in the final minute of play Tuesday, to lead the Denver Nuggets to a 120-118 win over New York.

Anthony had nine rebounds and Al Harrington pumped in 22 points off the bench for the Nuggets, who had lost three of four games coming into Tuesday's home contest.

Gary Forbes added another 19 and Nene had 17 for Denver.

New York was led by Amare Stoudemire, who scored 24 points and had seven rebounds. Danilo Gallinari and Landry Fields both scored 21 and pulled down a combined 27 rebounds for the Knicks, who have lost six in a row.

Denver led 61-54 at halftime and held off the Knicks despite being outscored by the New Yorkers 36-26 in the fourth quarter.
