COL BKB: Purdue 103, Alcorn State 48

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind., Nov. 17 (UPI) -- E'Twaun Moore scored 19 points Wednesday and No. 9 Purdue rode a massive first half to a 103-48 crushing of Alcorn State.

The Boilermakers held the Braves to just five points over the final 11:30 of the opening period and took a 59-17 lead at the break. Purdue won its 20th straight game against non-conference opponents.

Purdue forced 28 turnovers and outrebounded Alcorn State by 24 in running its record to 2-0. The Braves are winless in three games.

John Hart added 16 points for Purdue and both Sandi Marcius and JaJuan Johnson had 12.

Kendrick McDonald was the only player in double figures for Alcorn State with 13.
