Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

BUFFALO, N.Y., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Tyler Myers got the game-winner late in overtime Monday, handing the Buffalo Sabres a 4-3 decision over Vancouver.
Myers took control of a Vancouver turnover with 23 seconds remaining in the extra frame, skated in on Canucks netminder Cory Schneider and beat him with a wrist shot to his glove side for the decisive score.
Tyler Ennis, Cody McCormick and Steve Montador also scored and Thomas Vanek and Derek Roy added two assists each for the Sabres.
Ryan Miller turned away 36-of-39 shots in the win.
Daniel Sedin had a goal and two assists for the Canucks, who lost for only the second time in 10 road games.
