Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

FRESNO, Calif., Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Vai Taua ran 24 yards for a score with 4:51 to play Saturday -- his third touchdown on the day -- propelling No. 21 Nevada past Fresno State 35-34.
Taua finished with 89 yards on 16 carries for the Wolf Pack (9-1, 4-1 WAC).
Nevada quarterback Colin Kaepernick not only completed 16-of-26 passes for 171 yards, he rushed 16 times for 153 yards and two scores.
Robbie Rouse had a spectacular game for Fresno State, running for 217 yards and two touchdowns. Ryan Colburn completed 16-of-26 passes for 194 yards and two touchdowns for the Spartans (6-3, 4-2), who had won their last three games.
