NHL: Pittsburgh 4, Atlanta 2

ATLANTA, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Evgeni Malkin scored three goals and added an assist Saturday in the Pittsburgh Penguins' 4-2 victory over Atlanta.

Malkin's sixth career hat trick helped Pittsburgh win a second straight game for the first time since mid-October. His second goal made it 3-1 Penguins 4:42 into the final frame and effectively sealed the victory.

Sidney Crosby chipped in a goal and Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside 31 shots in the victory.

The Thrashers got goals from Brent Sopel and Niclas Bergfors and Ondrej Pavelec stopped 24-of-27 shots for Atlanta, losers for the fourth time in five games.
