Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

NORMAN, Okla., Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Landry Jones tossed five TD passes and racked up 316 yards through the air Saturday, powering No. 16 Oklahoma's 45-7 rumble over Texas Tech.
Ryan Broyles was Jones's favorite target, catching eight passes for 119 yards and three touchdowns for the Sooners (8-2, 4-2 Big 12), who extended their nation-best home win streak to 36 games.
Jones found DeMarco Murray and Kenny Stills on scoring strikes early in the game, helping Oklahoma jump off to a 24-7 first-quarter lead.
Texas Tech (5-5, 3-5) was led by Taylor Potts, who completed 18-of-36 passes for 136 yards and two interceptions. Baron Batch collected 91 rushing yards on 11 carries in the loss.
