INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Brad Miller scored 23 points Friday and the Houston Rockets survived a last-second miss by Darren Collison to defeat Indiana 102-99.
Houston won for just the second time this season and posted its first road victory in five tries.
Collison made a layup with 41 seconds remaining to get the Pacers within three and Kyle Lowry missed a jumper for Houston at the end of the shot clock to give Indiana a chance to force overtime.
Collison, however, failed in that bid to prevent the Pacers from winning consecutive games.
Kelvin Martin contributed 20 points for the Rockets and Luis Scola had 16. Indiana had won the last four meetings between the teams.
James Posey made 5-of-8 3-point tries and scored 19 for Indiana. Roy Hibbert had 18.
The largest lead for either team was a nine-point Houston advantage in the third period.
