KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Tobias Harris scored 18 points Friday and No. 20 Tennessee overcame a sluggish start to defeat Chattanooga 82-62.
The Volunteers opened the season by making 44 percent of their shots from the field, missing a third of their free throws and making a quarter of their 3-point tries.

Tennessee suffered a shocking exhibition loss to Division II Indianapolis earlier in the week.
Melvin Goins and Scotty Hopson both had 13 points for Tennessee, which began a season with a win for the 12th straight year.
Chattanooga was led by Keegan Bell with 20 points.
Tennessee had only a five-point lead near the midway point of the first half before going on a 17-0 run.
