DENVER, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Two goals by Curtis Glencross helped carry the Calgary Flames to a 4-2 road win over the Colorado Avalanche Tuesday.
David Moss scored the game-winner late in the third period and also had an assist in the win, which ended a four-game winless streak for the Flames.
Moss knocked in a rebound off a shot by Niklas Hagman at 15:45 of the third period to break a 2-2 tie at Pepsi Center. Glencross scored an empty net insurance goal at 19:26.
Miikka Kiprusoff made 29 saves in goal for the Flames. Colorado's Peter Budaj had 21 saves.
Brandon Yip and Chris Stewart accounted for Colorado's goals. Stewart's power-play goal early in the third period gave the Avalanche a 2-1 advantage; however, Calgary responded with three unanswered goals by Mikael Backlund, Moss and Glencross to nail down the victory.
