Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

CHAMPAIGN, Ill., Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Demetri McCamey led No. 16 Illinois to a hot shooting performance and a huge first half Wednesday en route to an 84-45 victory over Toledo.
Every one of the 11 players who competed for Illinois scored at least four points as part of the Fighting Illini's second win in as many games.
McCamey had 13 points and Mike Davis had 12 for Illinois, which shot 57 percent from the floor and led 47-18 at the break.
Delino Dear had 11 points for Toledo (0-1). It was the coaching debut at Toledo for Tod Kowalczyk, who had been coach at Wisconsin-Green Bay for eight years before coming to the Rockets.
