BUFFALO, N.Y., Nov. 8 (UPI) -- A breakout season by Buffalo Bills wide receiver Roscoe Parrish has been cut short due to a broken wrist, head Coach Chan Gailey said Monday.
Gaily told reporters that Parrish -- promoted to a starting slot this season and responding with a big year -- broke his right wrist while trying to make a catch in Sunday's 22-19 loss to Chicago, the Bills' Web site reported.
"It's bad," Gailey said. "We've lost Roscoe for the season. They're going to have to operate on the wrist."
The winless Bills brought Parrish up from the special team squads and he became a prime offensive threat. He was tied for fifth in the AFC in third-down receptions with 13 and was second only to Stevie Johnson in team catches and receiving yards, the Web site said.
Parrish made 33 grabs for 400 yards with a pair of touchdowns in eight games for the Bills during their 0-8 start.
