
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant scored 23 points and Pau Gasol added 21 Tuesday in the Los Angeles Lakers' 124-105 victory over Memphis.
Gasol pulled down 13 rebounds and Lamar Odom contributed 17 points, eight boards and six assists for the Lakers, who led wire-to-wire for the second straight game and raised their record to 4-0 to start the season.
Matt Barnes came off the bench to pump in 16 points and grab 14 rebounds -- nine of them off the offensive glass -- and Shannon Brown hit all three of his 3-point tries en route to 13 points.
The Grizzlies shot 41.3 percent from the field in the loss, which evened their record at 2-2.
Rudy Gay led all scorers with 30 points and Mike Conley -- who before the game signed a reported $40 million, five-year contract extension -- contributed 16 points and eight assists for Memphis.
