PHOENIX, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- The Arizona Diamondbacks have cut loose first baseman Adam LaRoche, the team announced Tuesday.

The D-Backs said they have declined to exercise the 2011 club option they held on LaRoche's contract.

LaRoche, 30, hit .261 with 25 home runs, 37 doubles and 100 RBI in 151 games last season, his first with Arizona.

In a seven-year career with the Braves, Pirates, Red Sox and Diamondbacks, LaRoche has posted a .271 average with 161 homers, 242 doubles and 569 RBI in 989 games.
