FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre, hobbled by an ankle injury, says he expects to start against the New England Patriots Sunday, ESPN reported.

Favre, who has two broken bones in his left ankle, is officially listed as questionable on the team's injury report and Coach Brad Childress says he won't decide between Favre and backup Tarvaris Jackson until game time.

In jeopardy is Favre's string of 291 straight games. He went through limited workouts in practice this week as the 2-4 Vikings prepared for the Patriots.
