NBA: Memphis 109, Minnesota 89

MEMPHIS, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- O.J. Mayo and Rudy Gay put up a combined 54 points for Memphis Saturday and the Grizzlies notched a team-record 22 steals in a 109-89 win over Minnesota.

Mike Conley had seven of those steals plus 14 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds for the Grizzlies, off to a 2-1 start to the season. His steals and assists both tied franchise records.

The Timberwolves, 1-2, shot just 34.8 percent from the field and the best they could muster was 15 points from Wayne Ellington.
