Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

TORONTO, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Colton Orr tipped in Tim Brent's shot Tuesday, breaking a third-period tie and boosting the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 3-1 decision over Florida.
With the game knotted at 1-1 midway through the final frame, Brent launched a wrist shot from the left circle and Orr redirected it past Florida goalie Scott Clemmensen, giving the Leafs the lead for good.
Phil Kessel added an insurance tally 6 minutes later on an unassisted breakaway and the Maple Leafs went on to break a three-game losing streak.
Jean-Sebastian Giguere turned aside 21-of-22 shots and Tyler Bozak added a power-play marker for the victors.
Dennis Wideman got Florida's only goal and Clemmensen made 24 saves in the Panthers' loss.
