SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- San Francisco Giants ace Tim Lincecum will face the Texas Rangers' Cliff Lee in Game 1 of the World Series, Giants Manager Bruce Bochy said Monday.
Bochy revealed he will go with the two-time Cy Young Award winner in Wednesday's first game at AT&T Park in San Francisco, followed by right-hander Matt Cain in Game 2.
Rangers Manager Ron Washington has revealed left-handed ace Lee will go in the first contest, followed by C.J. Wilson in Game 2 and Colby Lewis in Game 3, ESPN reported.
Bochy said Jonathan Sanchez would start for the Giants in Game 3 at Arlington, Texas, despite an erratic outing in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series against Philadelphia -- which the Giants eventually won to clinch the NL pennant.
Madison Bumgarner will take the hill for the Giants in Game 4, the San Francisco skipper said.
