NHL: Los Angeles 6, Colorado 4

DENVER, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Brad Richardson's two third-period goals completed a hat trick and provided the margin of victory Saturday in the Los Angeles Kings' 6-4 win over Colorado.

The Kings also got tallies from Anze Kopitar, Dustin Brown and Alexei Ponikarovsky in the victory, and Jonathan Quick got 28 stops to backstop Los Angeles to its fourth win in five games.

The Avalanche got two markers and an assist each from Milan Hejduk and Paul Stastny in the loss, their third in four outings.

Colorado's Craig Anderson was torched for all six goals on 30 shots.
