STARKVILLE, Miss., Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Derek DePasquale booted five field goals and LaDarius Perkins rushed for 131 yards Saturday in No. 24 Mississippi State's 29-24 win over Alabama-Birmingham.
Perkins carried 18 times and scored twice while Chris Relf completed 8-of-19 passes for 107 yards and rushed 20 times for 51 yards for the Bulldogs (6-2).

Mississippi State won for the fifth straight time.
UAB (2-5) was led by Bryan Ellis, who went 23-of-45 passing for 236 yards. He passed for a TD and rushed for another score in the setback.
Pat Shed gained 69 yards on 16 carries and Frantrell Forrest hauled down five passes for 58 yards for the Blazers.
