BLACKSBURG, Va., Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Tyrod Taylor completed 13-of-17 passes for 280 yards and three touchdowns in No. 23 Virginia Tech's 44-7 rout of Duke Saturday.

Taylor connected with Dyrell Roberts, Andre Smith and David Wilson on TDs and the Hokies (6-2, 4-0 ACC) racked up 491 yards of total offense to Duke's 208 yards.

Darren Evans added a rushing TD and Chris Hazley kicked three field goals for Virginia Tech.

Virginia Tech led 27-0 at halftime and 34-0 before the Blue Devils (1-6, 0-4) got on the board in the third quarter on a 6-yard touchdown run by Jay Hollingsworth.

Blue Devils quarterback Sean Renfree was 12-of-32 for 116 yards and was intercepted once.

Virginia Tech has won six consecutive games while Duke has lost six in a row.
