Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Julio Jones hauled down 12 passes for 221 yards, setting a school record Saturday in No. 7 Alabama's 41-10 victory over Tennessee.
Jones was the favorite target of Greg McElroy, who completed 21-of-32 passes for 264 yards for the Crimson Tide (7-1, 4-1 SEC), who posted their fourth straight win over Tennessee.
Trent Richardson racked up 119 yards on 12 carries and scored both rushing and receiving touchdowns. Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram collected 88 yards and two scores on 14 carries for Alabama, which piled up 531 yards of total offense.
The Volunteers (2-5, 0-4) were held to just 310 total yards.
Tennessee was led by Tauren Poole with 117 rushing yards and a score on 14 carries while Matt Simms went 11-of-22 passing for 117 yards with one interception.
