Maria Sharapova, Sasha Vujacic engaged

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Tennis star Maria Sharapova is engaged to Los Angeles Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic, CNBC reported Friday.

Sharapova, a three-time Grand Slam singles champion, is set to marry her beau of nearly a year, CNBC's Darren Rovell reported.

"Maria Sharapova's agent Max Eisenbud has confirmed to me that she is engaged to the Lakers' Sasha Vujacic," Rovell said on Twitter.

Vujacic, 26, proposed to Sharapova, 23, Tuesday at his Manhattan Beach, Calif., home, Yahoo! Sports reported.
