Lawyer: Sterger mulling NFL meeting

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- The woman at the center of the Brett Favre "sexting" allegations is considering meeting with NFL investigators, her lawyer said Wednesday.

New York attorney Joseph Conway said in an e-mail to the St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer Press that his client, former New York Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger, is mulling over the NFL's request to question her as part of its investigation.

The league is looking into a report on the Web site Deadspin.com that the Minnesota Vikings quarterback sent Sterger sexually charged photos and text messages in 2008 when he was the Jets' signal-caller.

Favre reportedly met with NFL security chief Milt Ahlerich about the matter Tuesday.

Favre again refused comment on the allegations Wednesday, telling the Pioneer Press, "That's a league issue that I'll just have to leave at that."
