CARSON, Calif., Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Conor Casey scored the go-ahead goal and Omar Cummings added an insurance score Saturday for a 3-1 Colorado win over Los Angeles.

Edson Buddle scored his Major League Soccer-leading 17th goal inside 10 minutes but also as responsible for an own-goal 8 minutes later.

Casey got his 12th goal of the season in the 30th minute and Cummings added his 13th after halftime, boosting Colorado (12-8-9) into seventh place in the overall playoff standings.

The Galaxy (17-7-5) still has the top record in MLS, but holds just a one-point lead on Real Salt Lake entering the final weekend of the regular season in the race for the Supporters' Shield and the Western Conference regular-season title.
