NHL: N.Y. Islanders 5, Colorado 2

UNIONDALE, N.Y., Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Milan Jurcina scored short-handed and unassisted goals in the second period Saturday, fueling the New York Islanders' 5-2 victory over Colorado.

Jurcina's tallies posted the Isles to 2-0 lead and Josh Bailey quickly made it 3-0 on a power-play goal with a minute left in the middle frame.

Jurcina added an assist and Michael Grabner also lit the lamp for the Islanders, who won their third straight game and improved to 6-0-1 with a tie in their last eight games against Colorado.

New York goalie Dwayne Roloson got his first victory of the season, making 28 saves.

Colorado got scores from Chris Stewart and T.J. Galiardi in the setback.
