NFL: Detroit 44, St. Louis 6

DETROIT, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Shaun Hill connected for a trio of touchdown passes en route to 227 aerial yards Sunday, sparking the Detroit Lions to a 44-6 rout of St. Louis.

Hill went 21-of-32 passing, hitting Calvin Johnson, Brandon Pettigrew and Nate Burleson on TD passes for the Lions (1-4), who snapped a 10-game losing streak.

Stefan Logan added a 105-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, tying a franchise record for the victors. Logan's runback equaled Terry Fair's 1998 mark as the longest in Lions' history.

Rookie running back Jahvid Best rushed for 67 yards on 18 carries in Detroit's victory.

Sam Bradford went 23-of-45 passing for 215 yards with no touchdowns and a pair of interceptions for the Rams (2-3).
