NFL: Chicago 23, Carolina 6

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Matt Forte scored a pair of first-quarter rushing touchdowns Sunday and the Chicago Bears went to post a 23-6 victory over Carolina.

Forte piled up a career-high 166 yards on 22 carries for the Bears (4-1), who won despite a subpar performance from veteran back-up quarterback Todd Collins, who started in place of the injured Jay Cutler.

Jimmy Clausen went 9-of-22 passing for 61 yards and one interception for the Panthers.
