Auburn ate up the clock and called a timeout with 2 seconds left and the ball at the Kentucky 7. Byrum then effortlessly kicked the ball between the uprights for the victory.

Cameron Newton carried the ball 28 times for 198 yards and four scores and went 13-for-21 for 210 yards and an interception for the Tigers (6-0, 3-0 SEC).

The Wildcats (3-3, 0-3) were led by Randall Cobb, who had two scores on the ground, caught a touchdown and threw for another.
