PITTSBURGH, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Scott Gomez scored from a sharp angle with 1:48 left in the game Saturday, sending the Montreal Canadiens to a 3-2 decision over Pittsburgh.

Gomez skated down the left side and flicked a wrister at Marc-Andre Fluery that seemed stoppable but trickled past the Penguins' goalie, breaking a 2-2 tie.

Michael Cammalleri added a pair of goals and Carey Price stopped 36-of-38 shots for the Canadiens, who notched their first victory at Pittsburgh's new home, the Consol Energy Center.

Mark Letestu and Evgeni Malkin scored for the Penguins, who lost their second straight in their new arena without a victory.

Fluery ended the night stopping 24 of 27 Canadiens shots.
